One of Joey's Kestrel boxes at MEP

My Eagle Scout Project by Joey Withrow

Due to habitat loss, the American Kestrel’s population has been decimated. The population has declined by 60 percent in the last 50 years. I was given the opportunity by Miller Ecological Park to help build up the American Kestrel’s population. For my Eagle Scout Project I built 6 bird boxes for the American Kestrel, three are located in Miller Park and three are located in Colonial Park. Hopefully the birds will find my boxes and everyone can enjoy the sight of this beautiful bird.
