Trails:  A Joint Community Effort

The City of Lebanon and Warren County Career Center have partnered to build walking/running trails in Miller Ecological Park.

This project is truly a community effort. Tom Hoeffel, teacher and coach at Lebanon High School and a member of the Steering Committee for the Friends of Miller Ecological Park, helped design a trail that will benefit both cross country and track team practices. Consequently, the trails will be one and one-and-a-half mile loops through the park.  The trail path surface will be constructed of materials that will be friendly to the enviroment and healthy for the runners and walkers of all ages.

Another community group actively participating in the project is the Miller Ecological Park Fund through Warren County Foundation. This group will help with the costs of such items as planting trees along the trail path.

The entire project resulted from suggestions by  Eagle Scout, Jon Forrest, that Friends of Miller Ecological Park get in contact with his coach, Tom Hoeffel about running trails.
